The Judd School is a boys' grammar school in Tonbridge. Its 11+ entrance exam uses the GL exam board and does not include an interview stage. The school has a catchment area, splitting places between an Inner Area around Tonbridge and an Outer Area covering the rest of mainland UK.

If your son is a bright, curious boy who will throw himself into a school where lessons, sport and activities all matter, the Judd School is a boys' grammar on Brook Street near the centre of Tonbridge. It was founded in 1888 by the Worshipful Company of Skinners and named after Sir Andrew Judd, a Tudor merchant whose endowment helped pay for it. The school began life on East Street before moving to its present site eight years later. Boys make up the main school, and a Head Boy and Head Girl now write the welcome to visitors. The school sums up its approach in three words: Learn, Grow, Belong.

Alongside a long record of academic success, Judd takes a modern approach to learning in and out of lessons. Sport is a strong thread, athletics especially, with teams reaching national schools' finals and a busy fixture list in rugby and other games. There is plenty beyond the classroom too, from a Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions to music, drama and a wide range of trips, including science visits as far afield as CERN. The aim, the school says, is a happy and forward-thinking place with a real buzz around learning.

Led since September 2017 by headteacher Mr Jonathan Wood, Judd rewards a boy who arrives ready to get stuck in, the sort who will be just as happy on the athletics track or at a club meeting as he is in the classroom, and who will be carried along by the buzz of a busy school.
