City of London Freemen's School (CLFS) is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school in Ashtead, Surrey, offering Year 7 entry. The 11+ admissions process consists of two stages, utilizing the ISEB Pretest and school-specific independent exams, followed by an interview stage. Located at Ashtead Park, the school welcomes mixed-gender applicants for its senior school entry.

Freemen's tends to suit a child who is game for a lot: happy in a lesson, then out on a field, then in a rehearsal room, and better off with space to move than with corridors and bells. City of London Freemen's School is an independent, co-educational day school for pupils aged seven to eighteen, with boarding available from Year 9, at Ashtead Park in Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 1ET. Junior and senior sit on one site, so a child who arrives at seven need not move again, and the main senior entry points are Year 7 and Year 9.

The school was founded in 1854 by the City of London Corporation as a school for the orphaned children of City Freemen, co-educational from the beginning, and it sat in Brixton until 1926, when it moved out to Ashtead Park and began taking day pupils. Fifty-seven acres of parkland came with the move, along with a listed main house that still anchors the place. The City connection has not faded: the Lord Mayor's annual visit has been a fixture since 1892, and whole-school trips into the Square Mile date back to 1951. Old pupils include Andrew Garfield and Warwick Davis, which children tend to find more interesting than parents do.

The Good Schools Guide reports pupils calling the range of clubs exceptional, from chess to military history, and one pupil's summary of the staff was simply 'Teachers support us so much.' The head speaks about children who think deeply and lead with kindness. It suits a child who wants to be known by name, and who will try the thing they have not tried before.
